While the piano is obviously the show stopper, I didn't notice it much during play, but that was probably because I was trying hard not to drain. The star inserts and middle 'Elton' lights especially. And obviously, the lightshow is something else. The game shoots smooth, really satisfying shots with lots of shot linkage and combos.

The flippers are strong af, better even than godfather and that was a big step up from TS (but not perfect imo). I wanted to like that game because Wonka was a great movie and it did have PL designing the playfield. Even with the latest software revs the soundtrack on that game is simply a nightmare. That perfectly describes the soundtrack on many JJP games and especially Wonka (which the original casino observation sprung from). The soundtrack seems like it's playing randomly with all sorts of overlapping noises that don't seem to interact with the ball very often. I was not the first person to point this out, but whoever first said it hit the nail directly on the head: It's not that the games sound like 'a' slot machine, its that they sound like what you hear walking through a busy casino with random sounds coming from all around you blending together in no context as you continue past the machines and tables towards the other end of the casino. These guys have lost the point from the original observations over the past few years. Is there a rule that pinball machines aren't supposed to sound like slot machines?
